Part 2: Using CMEDataGrid

This is Part 2 of a series on using the CMEDataGrid. If you haven’t checked out Part 1 yet, you might want to do that first as it lays the foundation for displaying data.

Client Request

The request from the client was pretty straightforward. We were implementing a public knowledge base – using the Customer Service template – and the client requested the ability to display notifications to visitors.

Use Case

You have a community and you would like to alert users of an upcoming event.

Requirements

• Be able to show an alert message in a community.
• The alert should be time-based.
